lyrics

The ghosts of that fateful night arrive

Swirling ever present within my vision, my memory

As despite the strength of my roaring hearth

There still lingers a certain chill in the air

We had vowed together within the storm

Among those petrified observers

Damnation by the pale moonlight

Through my hands what had to be done

The past as anguish still cleaves us apart

As if each seasons departed by the fissure of time

I had no choice a light brings end to darkness

For my tears still wept into your frozen blood

Why set that free – which condemns me?

Why snuff the flame – to set myself ablaze?

Upon that throne built on oaths broken, that figure sits, marred by the ashen glow of frigid history

She wept for the undying darkness

Within that moment of triumph

Lamentation for the thawing ice

Reflected in the glass of the winter’s moon
